Learners can recognize and interrupt bias when evaluating talent performance and potential and making promotion decisions based on that evaluation. Translation and localization services available.
(one 1-hour Zoom facilitation for up to 40 participants)
In this interactive and engaging session, participants identify and interrupt the biases that can derail our best efforts to be objective and accurate when it comes to performance review and talent calibration. Participants practice recognizing and responding to bias and learn strategies and tips to mitigate our bias during performance evaluations. The session is designed for individuals ready to disrupt their own biases when evaluating talent and giving feedback.
(12-minute microLearning)
Unconscious biases can derail our best efforts to be objective and accurate when it comes to evaluating performance. Are we inadvertently giving higher ratings to employees who are more “like us?” What are we doing to ensure our evaluation process is consistent across our entire team? Are we sure we’re aware of the variety of work or projects each team member has worked on, or are we basing our evaluation only on those projects we know about? Are our expectations about a person skewing how we see them? Managing Unconscious Bias in Performance Reviews invites you to look for and mitigate biases in evaluating performance. Translation and localization services available.

Managing Bias for Managers and Leaders engages leaders in exploring how unconscious biases influence how we perceive, treat, and evaluate people in all areas of people management – from hiring and engagement to managing performance and career advancement. Through numerous examples, videos, and activities, participants learn strategies to recognize and interrupt biases in hiring, developing, engaging, and activating the full potential of their teams. This course also covers the role our backgrounds play in forming unconscious biases and reviews five specific types of unconscious cognitive biases and how they play out in people decisions, while demonstrating the pitfalls of “cultural fit” when it comes to hiring and talent evaluation.

Hiring & Promoting Top Talent explores the hidden bias within talent acquisition and talent development. It includes insights into how assessing for “cultural fit” impacts the organization’s ability to both attract and hire diverse top talent and to build and support a strong, diverse talent pipeline. Learners also explore how mentoring, staffing teams, key assignments, and coaching across cultures drives the readiness of top talent for their next opportunity.
