Get to know me in three:

My home away from home:Latvia. Living in that bucolic country alongside such kind and resilient people for two years was the pivotal period of my life and the origin of my passion and talent for working across cultures.
The values that influence me:Activism and systems-thinking are two things my parents really rooted in our family. My four siblings and I were gently pushed around the dinner table to understand how the world works, why things are the way they are—and how we should use that understanding to make a difference for other people.
My diversity story:Born and raised in the suburbs of Washington DC to middle-class parents of Irish and German background—today, my immediate family includes citizens of Mexico, The Netherlands, Canada, Romania, Bulgaria, Austria, and Switzerland. Every day, my family helps me practice my inclusion skillset for valuing and incorporating cross-cultural perspectives—especially at home, where my husband and I raise our son to know and value his Mexican roots right alongside my side of the family’s European identity.
